Trunch Concerts 2010 - Coming Soon
>>> Saturday Sept 25th 7.30 pm: Zeffiretti
17th century music with trio sonatas by Telemann, Quantz and Platti and solo sonatas by Vivaldi, Besozzi, Scarlatti and Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach
The final concert of this very successful season of music at St Botolph’s Church in Trunch will be given by Zeffiretti at 7.30 pm on Saturday September 25th. Admission is by programme at the door: £7 (£5 concessions).

Zeffiretti has enjoyed a very enthusiastic local following since its first concert in Overstrand Church in 2006 and has performed with considerable acclaim at venues throughout the whole of Suffolk and Norfolk over the last four years, including regularly appearing at the King of Hearts lunchtime concerts in Norwich and initiating the newly re-vitalised musical life at the Wingfield Barns Arts Centre in Suffolk.
The group features the ever-popular Anna Hopkins (pictured left; flute) and Diana Golder (oboe), supported by John Mason and Suzanne Vandenberghe (continuo).
Under the title ‘Touches of Sweet Harmony’ they will be performing a programme of 17th century music with trio sonatas by Telemann (two), Quantz and Platti and solo sonatas by Vivaldi, Besozzi, Scarlatti and Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach, eldest son of the great JS Bach.
I am also told that the costly and time-consuming repairs to the chancel roof in St Botolph’s are now complete and that Zeffiretti should be the first group of musicians this year to benefit from playing in the Church’s restored splendour. Over the years, the concerts have raised over £10,000 towards restoration projects, such as this. Our thanks to musicians and audiences alike!
