Trunch Friends Report January 2012
The group meets every second Tuesday in the month, 2.00pm, Trunch Village Hall.
Our AGM this month heralded some marked changes for the group. Barbara Ayre, who has been our Chairman and guiding light for many years, has finally decided to step down. She was warmly thanked for all of her service and presented with some gift tokens.
Luckily one of our younger members is willing to take on the Chairman’s role and Kate Scarborough was duly elected. Dorothy Davies has also decided to come off the committee and she was also thanked for her service, particularly in relation to the all-important teas, and presented with a rose plant. Two new members were elected to the committee to replace those leaving. After tea, members took part in a lively and well-contested Beetle Drive.
Our next meeting is our Annual lunch on the 7th. February - 12.30 for 1 p.m. at the Beechwood Hotel in North Walsham.
