TRUNCH VILLAGE HALL – LATEST NEWS

TRUNCH VILLAGE HALL

AN ASSET TO THE COMMUNITY FOR OVER 100 YEARS – Let’s make it 200 years and beyond!

WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT?

A Fundraising Group is exploring various sources of income, including grants, fundraising events, marketing of the Hall etc.

WHAT’S HAPPENED SO FAR?

The Hall belongs to the Residents of Trunch, and the Committee, having already met with Hall users to discuss the way forward, now need to involve all residents in seeking their ideas, sharing their expertise and in volunteering to assist in the activities that will take place. As a result of the public meeting held on 5th October at least six additional residents have agreed to serve on a Fund Raising Group to help raise vital funds. Other residents have agreed to assist with fund raising and staging of events.

The Christmas fayre raised £1100.  As a result of an application for Grant Funding the Management Committee received £5000. The coffee mornings have raised circa £500 so far.

The necessary refitting of the kitchen is complete and operational.
