February News

We had 25 members turn up for our first AGM since Covid forced a stop to all meetings. With Marilyn (chairman) and Andi (treasurer) both standing down we had to have a bit of a change about.  The new (temporary) committee agreed to run for 6 months.  We have a full programme arranged to take us through until and including September.  We have Brian Hedge coming to talk to us about ‘Memories of North Walsham’ on 8th March and Peter Horsefield about ‘Aspects of India’ on 17th April.

We will have a membership card with a diary of meetings for members ready for next month so you will not miss anything of interest to you.

New members are always welcome.  For further details contact:

January News

19 members came together for our first meeting in almost 2 years.  We had homemade cakes to go with our cups of tea and coffee and after so long apart there was plenty to chat about and catch up with.

We will be meeting on 8th February for our AGM which will be over almost as soon as it starts, as we of course have very little to report.  Sue has resigned from the committee due to family commitments, and Marilyn (Chairman) and  Andi (Treasurer) will also be standing down at the AGM, so once again we are in need of some more members to come on to the committee.

After the AGM business, we will have a fun quiz to get our little grey cells dancing amidst much laughter; and I’m led to believe there will be a prize for the winner, as well as a raffle and the usual light refreshments.

We meet on 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2pm in the village hall: new members are always welcome.
