Painting Number 6 – ‘Norfolk Farmland’ Oil on canvas 52x76cm (approx 20×30)
Artist Jan Ellmore – Jan began this painting while attending a workshop, in East Runton’s Village Hall, at the end of April this year. She is very happy to donate it, in the hope that we will achieve a good sum of money, along with all the generous donations given towards the upkeep of our much loved, and used, Village Hall, where Jan runs the art group on Wednesday afternoons each week.
Jan has loved painting all her life, but did not receive her Fine Art As/A1 plus Tutors Awards until she attended Paston Collage at the age of 53! Her hobby, lov’e and passion is to help anyone who wishes to draw or paint, in any style they wish to achieve! Quote from Clive Bell 20th century art critic. ‘We have no other means of recognising Art than our feeling for it.
Our group is very friendly and welcomes anyone who would like to learn how to draw or paint in pastels, watercolour, acrylics, oils etc. We have all these mediums at hand for you to begin with, so give this very enjoyable hobby a try. One on one tuition is available.
Our weekly fee is £3.00 paid in in advance every 7 weeks, If anyone would like to come to our monthly demonstrations by outside artists, you will be most welcome. This includes tea/coffee and cake or biscuits.
