Rectory Meadow Trunch
Rectory Meadow is situated between the Knapton and Mundesley Roads adjacent to the cemetery and the Rectory (see map below).
Access can be gained off the Knapton Road through the lych gate at the entrance to the cemetery or from the Mundesley Road via the concessionary footpath opposite Ivy Farmhouse. Dogs on leads are allowed.
During the summer months the central area of the meadow is consumed by the growth of wild flowers such as knapweed, devil’s bit scabious and lady’s bedstraw making an ideal habitat for butterflies, dragonflies and insects.
The section of a concessionary footpath between the meadow and Mundesley Road has been reinstated and now provides through access to encourage walkers to visit and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the wild flower and wild life garden.
